Creative Ways to Use the Family Camping Tent

from:

One thing that is almost guaranteed to spark the interest of a child is the idea of going camping. Ideas of smores, campfire hot dogs, and sleeping under the stars are enough to fascinate even jaded teenagers. While a long camping trip or even a weekend may be too much for a busy schedule, there are other less time consuming ways to make use of the family camping tent that will please the young and young at heart of a family. Use your creativity to plan a fun outing or party all without leaving your own backyard.

There isnt a student on the planet that doesnt want to celebrate the end of school. Weather permitting; why not plan for an end of school celebration under the stars? Simply shop for and buy all of the traditional camping food, like hamburgers, hot dogs, and of course marshmallows for a new take on using the old family camping tent. You can always let the kids put their no longer needed school papers in the fire as a way to symbolize the end of school and the beginning of summer. Sleeping outside, in the tent, is a fun end of school party even if there isnt time or money to take an out of town trip.

Maybe you have one child that loves to camp out. Using the family camping tent as a venue for a sleep over party is a great way to personalize their birthday or just because celebration. If safety precautions make you leery of the campfire, then forgo that pleasure and fix all the camping foods in the kitchen or on a grill. The little ones wont mind. Not only will your child love the experience, but so will his or her friends.

The 4th of July is another good time to bring out the family camping tent. This is a great place for kids to get of the sun at a mid summer, outdoor celebration. They can beat the heat and have a wonderful time playing pretend inside the tent. Later, during the fireworks, if some young ones get tired, it is the perfect place to let them rest without having to worry about them wandering the house while the adults are busy with the fireworks display.

Of course the family camping tent is best used on a trip with your loved ones. However for a fun way to shake things up during the dog days of summer, an impromptu outdoor sleep party cant be beat. Besides, think about how much more value for your camping tent money you are getting.
